TRANSFORMING GRIEF INTO HOPE
Harriett's Daughters is the soft landing for girls in grades 3–12 in the metro Atlanta area who have lost their mother to cancer or whose mother has an end-stage cancer diagnosis. Mentorship is the heartbeat and entry point of Harriett’s Daughters. We connect girls with caring mentors who walk beside them as they heal, grow, and rediscover hope.
MENTORSHIP: THE HEART OF WHAT WE DO
OUR MENTORING PROGRAM
Our mentoring program is designed to help adolescent and teenage girls feel good about themselves and their future development, despite the loss or impending loss of their mother. The program strengthens confidence, provides a sense of stability, and builds trust in the support system around them.

HOW IT WORKS
Step 1 – Apply (as mentor or mentee)
Step 2 – Orientation & Matching
Step 3 – Meet monthly and participate in community gatherings
Step 4 – Grow together through workshops, reflection, and shared experiences
OTHER WAYS WE SUPPORT FAMILIES
FAMILY SUPPORT
When a mother's transition from life to death is anticipated, the mourning process begins early and is filled with a range of conflicts and emotions as a girl watches her mother's health decline. By offering services that are uniquely their own, Harriett’s Daughters will help girls learn to manage their emotions so they can make the most of the remaining time with their mothers as they prepare for her transition.

HARRIETT'S DAUGHTERS IS A 501(C)(3) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION.
