Giving Tuesday 💜

Jimmie Waites

Giving Tuesday was created in 2012, as a day that encourages people to do good. Now, it is an annual global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. It is celebrated every Tuesday of the month, but the BIG DAY is the last Tuesday of November. This year Giving Tuesday is on November 30th.

Henry Timms took note of this and co-created Giving Tuesday and received funding from the United Nations Foundation, to establish it as an annual campaign. It is the Tuesday right after Thanksgiving. Last year, $2.47 billion dollars was donated to various organizations.

Giving Tuesday is also celebrated around the world. Over 75 countries participate in Giving Tuesday, giving in their own individual ways.

Join the movement and consider Harriett’s Daughters as your nonprofit of choice. Here are four ways you can give to Harriett’s Daughters:

  2. Offer pro bono services (counseling sessions for girls and families, etc.).

  3. Donate your space for meetings, workshops, and events.

  4. Join our Board of Directors.

Whether it's your time, a donation, or the power of your voice; please consider Harriett's Daughters as your nonprofit of choice this Giving Tuesday!
